Composition:

active substance: ethanol;

not less than 69.3 % vol/vol and not more than 70.7 % vol/vol ethanol and water.

Pharmaceutical form.

Solution for external use.

Main physico-chemical properties: clear, colorless, volatile, flammable liquid. Hygroscopic.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

When applied externally, exerts antiseptic, disinfectant, and local irritant effects. Ethanol coagulates proteins and is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and viruses.

Pharmacokinetics.

When applied locally, it is not absorbed through the skin.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Boils, paronychia, infiltrates, mastitis in the initial stages.

For wiping and compresses.

For surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications.

Increased individual sensitivity. Acute inflammatory skin conditions.

Special precautions.

If redness or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use of the medicinal product and wash the liquid off with water.

Avoid contact with eyes!

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

When ethanol is used externally, interactions with other medicinal products are unknown.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of the medicinal product is possible only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

Method of administration and dosage.

Externally – for wiping, compresses, skin disinfection, including hands.

For compresses and wiping (to prevent burning), ethanol should be diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio.

Children.

Use as directed by a physician.

Overdose.

With external use, cases of overdose are unknown.

Side effects.

Local application may cause irritation of the skin or mucous membranes.

If any adverse events occur, consult a physician.

Shelf life.

5 years.

The medicinal product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions.

Store in original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Avoid contact with open flame. Keep out of reach of children.
