INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT ETHYLOSEPT 70 (ETHYLOSEPT 70)

ethanol;

not less than 69.3% v/v and not more than 70.7% v/v ethanol and water.

Pharmaceutical form.
Topical solution.

Main physicochemical properties:
clear, colorless, volatile, flammable liquid. Hygroscopic.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

When applied externally, exerts an antiseptic, disinfectant, and local irritant effect. Ethanol coagulates proteins and is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as viruses.

Pharmacokinetics.

When applied locally, it is not absorbed through the skin.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Furuncles, panaritium, infiltrates, mastitis in the initial stages. For rubbing and compresses. Surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity. Should not be used in acute inflammatory skin conditions.

Precautions.

If redness or skin irritation occurs, discontinue use of the medicinal product and wash the liquid off with water.

Avoid contact with eyes!

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

When ethanol is applied externally, interactions with other medicinal products are unknown.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of this medicinal product is only possible if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C in the original packaging, in a place inaccessible to children. Avoid contact with open flame.
