How does the drug interact with other medicines?
The components of the product may weaken the effect of antibacterial sulfonamides and enhance the effect of other local anesthetics. Any simultaneous intake of other medicines should be reported to a physician.

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT MENOVASIN
Composition:
Active substances: 100 ml of solution contains benzocaine 1 g, procaine hydrochloride 1 g, racemic menthol 2.5 g.
Excipient: ethanol 70%.
Pharmaceutical form. Topical alcoholic solution.
Main physicochemical properties: clear colorless liquid with a menthol odor.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Products used locally for joint and muscular pain.

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics. The drug has anti-pruritic action and local anesthetic effect. When applied to the skin and mucous membranes, it causes irritation of nerve endings, accompanied by a sensation of cold, mild burning, and tingling.
Exerts mild analgesic action.
Pharmacokinetics.
When applied locally, the drug does not enter the bloodstream.

The drug is indicated for neuralgias, myalgias, and arthralgias.
Contraindications.
The drug is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to procaine and other components of the drug.
Special precautions.
Do not apply to damaged skin or skin exhibiting allergic reactions. Do not apply to facial skin.
Do not violate the application instructions for the medicinal product, as this may harm health.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
Components of the drug (procaine, anestezin) weaken the antibacterial effect of sulfonamide drugs. They enhance the effects of drugs with local anesthetic action.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of this medicinal product is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Method of administration and dosage.
The medication is for topical use. Painful skin areas should be rubbed with Minovazin 2–3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the form and severity of the disease, the drug's effectiveness, and the type of therapy (monotherapy or in combination with other medicinal agents).
Children.
Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
Overdose.
With prolonged use, dizziness, general weakness, decreased arterial pressure, and allergic reactions may occur. If such symptoms appear, discontinue the medication, wash off any residue from the skin surface with water, and administer symptomatic therapy.
Side effects.
Allergic reactions are possible (hyperemia, skin irritation, itching, rash, swelling, urticaria).
