INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT KSENOFORM (XEROFORM)

Composition:

Active substance: bismuth tribromophenate;

1 container contains 7 g of bismuth tribromophenate (xeroform);

1 polymer bottle with a nozzle contains 10 g of bismuth tribromophenate (xeroform).

Pharmaceutical form. Topical powder.

Main physicochemical properties: amorphous yellow powder with a faint specific odor.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antiseptics and disinfectants. ATC code D08A X.

Pharmacological properties.

Bismuth tribromophenate (xeroform) has antiseptic, astringent, and drying properties. The action of the drug is based on its interaction with tissue proteins, forming albuminates that protect sensitive nerve endings from irritation by creating a protective film. Additionally, it causes vasoconstriction, reduces vascular permeability (decreasing exudation), and inhibits enzymes. Interaction with microbial proteins suppresses their vital activity.
