How should the drug be taken correctly?

Adults and children aged 12 and older may take it orally, locally, or via enema. For oral administration, 5 ml of a 1% solution is diluted in 30 ml of water and taken 3 times a day, 40 minutes before meals. For enemas, 20 ml of the solution is diluted in 1 L of water (to be performed once every two days, a course of 10 procedures). For local application, the solution is diluted with 0.25% novocaine in a 1:5 ratio. In case of cervical erosion, the cervical canal is lubricated with a 1% solution or irrigation is performed (15 ml of solution per 1 L of water).

Who should not use Chlorophyllipt arterium?

The drug should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to its components. It is also not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as safety in these cases has not been studied.

What are the possible side effects of Chlorophyllipt arterium?

Allergic reactions may occur, such as itching, rash, redness (hyperemia), or swelling of the mucous membranes.

Can I drive a car during treatment?

Since the drug contains ethanol, caution should be exercised when driving a vehicle or operating machinery.

How does the drug interact with other substances?

Chlorophyllipt arterium enhances the effect of other antiseptics. It is important to note that if there are residues of hydrogen peroxide in a wound, the drug will precipitate; therefore, after rinsing a wound with peroxide, it should be cleaned with sterile saline (0.9% sodium chloride).

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT CHLOROPHYLLIPT Arterium (CHLOROPHYLLIPT Arterium)

Composition:

Active ingredient: 1 ml of solution contains Extract of eucalyptus leaves, dry (extractum ex folii eucalypti spissum), calculated as 100% content of dry substance (1:15.3) – 10 mg;

Excipient: ethanol 96%.

Pharmaceutical form. Alcohol solution.

Main physicochemical properties: dark green liquid. Formation of sediment during storage is permissible.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Antiseptics and disinfectants.

The drug has antibacterial activity against staphylococci, including antibiotic-resistant strains.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications. Treatment of infections caused by antibiotic-resistant staphylococcal strains, burn disease, trophic and slowly healing limb ulcers, as part of combined therapy for postoperative, postpartum, and other septic conditions of different origin, treatment of intestinal staphylococcal dysbiosis and eradication of staphylococcal carriers, cervical erosion.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to chlorophyllipt or to any other component of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. It should be noted that if hydrogen peroxide residues are present in the wound, Chlorophyllipt Arterium precipitates. Therefore, after wound irrigation with hydrogen peroxide, its residues should be removed using sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution. Enhances the effect of antiseptic agents.

Special precautions for use.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. The efficacy and safety of the drug during pregnancy or breastfeeding have not been studied; therefore, the drug should not be used in these patient groups.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Since the drug contains 96% ethanol, caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage

For adults and children aged 12 years and older, the drug is administered orally, topically, and as enemas. For children aged 12 years and older, the drug should be used only as prescribed by a physician.

Oral administration of Chlorophyllipt Arterium is indicated for intestinal carriage of staphylococci and for prevention of postoperative complications. Adults and children aged 12 years and older should take 5 ml of the 1 % alcoholic solution diluted in 30 ml of water, three times daily, 40 minutes before meals, on a daily basis. The duration of treatment is determined individually, depending on the therapeutic efficacy and severity of the disease.

For the treatment of intestinal staphylococcal carriage, Chlorophyllipt Arterium may also be administered as an enema (20 ml of the 1 % alcoholic solution diluted in 1 liter of water – this is the dose for one enema). The procedure should be performed once daily. The enema should be administered every other day. The treatment course consists of 10 procedures.

For topical use (treatment of burns and trophic ulcers), dilute the 1 % alcoholic solution with 0.25 % novocaine solution in a 1:5 ratio.

For the treatment of cervical erosion, first dry all folds of the vaginal mucosa and the vaginal portion of the cervix with a tampon, then apply the 1 % solution of Chlorophyllipt Arterium to the cervical canal. For vaginal douching, dilute 15 ml of the 1 % alcoholic solution in 1 liter of water.

The duration of the treatment course depends on the course of the disease and is determined individually by the physician.

Children. The drug may be administered to children aged 12 years and older only as prescribed by a physician.

Overdose. An overdose may lead to an intensification of adverse reactions. Treatment is symptomatic.

Side effects.

Immune system side effects: allergic reactions are possible during the use of the medication, including mucosal swelling, hyperemia, itching, and rash.

Shelf life. 2 years.

Storage conditions. In the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 ºC.
