The affected areas of the skin should be lubricated with the solution 1 to 3 times daily until symptoms disappear. The duration of treatment should be determined by a physician.

What are the possible side effects of Fukorcin?

Short-term burning and pain are possible. Allergic reactions (rash, swelling, itching, urticaria) or systemic symptoms such as dizziness, weakness, nausea, headache, respiratory disorders, or convulsions may also occur.

Who should not use this drug?

The product is contraindicated in cases of individual hypersensitivity to its components and chronic allergic dermatoses. It should also not be used by women during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and by children under 12 years of age.

Can this product be combined with other medicines?

Avoid simultaneous use with topical antifungal antibiotics (e.g., griseofulvin, clotrimazole), hormonal preparations, or other products containing phenol or boric acid, as this may cause an allergic reaction.

What should be done if too much of the product is applied to the skin?

Prolonged application over large areas of skin may lead to phenol poisoning (dizziness, weakness, respiratory disorders). In such cases, the product must be washed off immediately with water, fresh air should be provided, and medical assistance must be sought.

Are there any special precautions for use?

Do not allow the solution to come into contact with the eyes or mucous membranes. People with impaired renal function must consult a physician before use.

Composition:

active substances: basic fuchsin, boric acid, phenol, acetone, resorcinol;

1 ml of solution contains 0.004 g of basic fuchsin, 0.008 g of boric acid, 0.039 g of phenol, 0.049 ml of acetone, 0.078 g of resorcinol;

excipients: ethanol 96%, purified water.

Main physicochemical properties: dark red liquid with a characteristic phenol odor.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

Active ingredients contained in the medicinal product provide a broad spectrum of antimicrobial effects in skin infections caused by infectious agents. The drug also exhibits fungicidal activity against fungal lesions of external coverings.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Treatment of skin diseases caused by pathogens sensitive to the components of the drug: various types of dermatophytes (trichophytons, microsporums, epidermophytons), microbial eczema, seborrhea of greasy and mixed forms.

Contraindications.

Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the drug. Chronic allergic dermatoses.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Concomitant use of topical antifungal antibiotics such as griseofulvin, clotrimazole, and products containing phenol or boric acid, as well as hormonal preparations, should be avoided. Allergic reactions may occur when used simultaneously with topical medicinal products.

When using any other medicinal products concomitantly, inform your physician.

Special precautions.

The treatment with the medicinal product should be carried out under medical supervision and in accordance with the recommended doses.

Avoid contact of the medicinal product with eyes and do not apply it on mucous membranes.

Patients with impaired renal function must consult a physician before using the medicinal product.

Do not violate the recommended application instructions, as this may harm your health.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Do not use in women during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Method of administration and dosage.

Apply the solution to affected skin areas 1 to 3 times daily until symptoms disappear. The duration of treatment is determined by a physician.

Children.

Do not use in children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.

With prolonged use of the medicinal product or application over large areas of skin, symptoms typical of phenol poisoning (dizziness, weakness, respiratory disturbances, collapse) may occur. In such cases, ensure access to fresh air, wash the medicinal product off the skin with water, and administer symptomatic treatment.

In case of overdose, adverse effects and allergic reactions may intensify. Symptomatic therapy is recommended.

Adverse reactions.

Short-term sensation of burning and pain may occur.

Hypersensitivity reactions including dermatitis, anaphylactic shock, urticaria, angioneurotic edema; local allergic reactions (e.g. rash, erythema, swelling, itching at the application site).

In some patients, especially with prolonged use, systemic effects due to resorption may cause dizziness, weakness, respiratory disturbances, seizures, confusion, nausea, vomiting, headache, diarrhea, oliguria, and epithelial desquamation.

If such symptoms occur, wash off any residual medicinal product from the skin surface with water, discontinue use of the product, and apply symptomatic therapy.
