How should Vovchug be taken correctly?

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT VOVCHUG

Composition:

1 vial contains: active substance: field or cultivated licorice root tincture (Ononidis radix), powdered alcoholic tincture (1:5) – 100 ml;

excipients: ethanol (96%), purified water.

Pharmaceutical form. Oral tincture.

Main physicochemical properties: clear liquid, light brown in color with an orange tint to brown with a reddish tint, with a specific odor.

Sediment formation may occur during storage.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

The roots of Vernonia contain isoflavonoids (ononin, onospiin, oncerein), tannins, triterpenoid saponins, resins, citric acid, starch, and essential oil. Vernonia tincture belongs to laxative agents, whose mechanism of action is due to stimulation (chemical irritation) of intestinal mucosal receptors. The laxative effect develops gradually with regular use of the preparation over 2–3 weeks.
