Composition:

active ingredient: formic acid;

100 ml of the preparation contain formic acid 1.4 g;

excipient: ethanol 70 %.

Pharmacodynamics.

Formic alcohol belongs to agents that irritate sensory nerve endings. Due to stimulation of skin and subcutaneous tissue receptors, the preparation exerts not only a reflexive but also a general humoral effect. Stimulation by formic alcohol receptors is accompanied by stimulation of endorphin, dynorphin and peptide production and release, which play an important role in regulation of pain sensations, vascular permeability and other processes.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the preparation. Eczema, inflammatory and infectious skin diseases localized in the area of application, as well as allergic diseases.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
