How to correctly prepare the Hippocfaea fruits infusion?

Pour 200 ml of hot boiled water over one tablespoon of the fruits, cover with a lid, and infuse in a water bath for 15 minutes. After cooling, strain the infusion, squeeze the remaining fruits, bring the liquid volume up to 200 ml with water, and take it in a warm state.

What is the dosage of Hippocfaea fruits for adults and children?

For adults and children over 14 years of age, it is recommended to take 1/2 cup 2 times a day after meals. For children, the dosage depends on age: from 1 to 3 years — 1 dessert spoon; from 3 to 7 years — 1 tablespoon; from 7 to 10 years — 2 tablespoons; from 10 to 14 years — 1/3 cup.

Who should not take this preparation?

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the components, thrombophlebitis, circulatory insufficiency, endocarditis, severe kidney disease, gallstone disease, and decompensated diabetes mellitus.

What are the possible side effects?

Allergic reactions may occur, such as itching, skin swelling, or redness (hyperemia).

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT ROSE HIPS FRUITS

Composition:

Active substance: rose hips fruits;

1 package contains rose hips fruits (Rosae fructus) 130 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Fruits.

Main physico-chemical properties: false fruit formed by fleshy, hollow, enlarged receptacle with remnants of reduced sepals of pale pink or orange-red color; the outer surface is convex, shiny and wrinkled, the inner surface is lighter, densely lined with bristly hairs.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents affecting the digestive system and metabolic processes. ATC code A16A X.

Pharmacological Properties.

Pharmacodynamics. Biologically active substances of rosehip fruits exert anti-atherosclerotic and anti-inflammatory effects; they activate enzymatic systems and redox processes in the body, normalize carbohydrate metabolism, enhance hormone synthesis and tissue regeneration, increase the body's resistance to adverse environmental factors, stimulate bile secretion, increase diuresis, and reduce capillary fragility and permeability.

Indications.

A general tonic agent in acute and chronic infections, dystrophy, and physical exertion; hemorrhagic diatheses; bleeding of various etiologies, anticoagulant overdose; acute and chronic liver diseases (chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis); kidney and bladder disorders (nephritis, nephropathies in pregnant women) – as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Thrombophlebitis and predisposition to it, circulatory insufficiency, endocarditis, decompensated diabetes mellitus, severe kidney diseases, cholelithiasis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interactions.

Special precautions for use.

After using the rosehip fruit infusion, it is recommended to rinse the mouth with warm water or a weak soda solution to prevent damage to tooth enamel.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

The safety and efficacy of the medicinal product during pregnancy and breastfeeding have not been studied. Therefore, rosehip preparations should be used only after consulting a physician and only when the expected benefit for the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 1 tablespoon of fruits into an enameled container, pour 200 ml (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Allow to cool at room temperature for 45–60 minutes, then strain, squeezing the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take the infusion warm, twice daily after meals:

  • Adults and children aged 14 years and older – 1/2 cup;
  • Children aged 1 to 3 years – 1 dessert spoon;
  • Children aged 3 to 7 years – 1 tablespoon;
  • Children aged 7 to 10 years – 2 tablespoons;
  • Children aged 10 to 14 years – 1/3 cup.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician, considering the nature, severity, and course characteristics of the disease, stability of the achieved therapeutic effect, and the patient's tolerance to the medicinal product.

Children.

The medicinal product may be used in children aged 1 year and older.

Overdose.

Appearance or intensification of allergic reactions. Symptomatic therapy.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions may occur (including hyperemia, itching, skin swelling).

Storage conditions.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
