INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT BIDENS HERB (HERBA BIDENTIS)

Composition:

Active substance: Bidens herb (Herba Bidentis);

1 pack contains 50 g of Bidens herb (Herba Bidentis); 1 filter bag contains 1.5 g of Bidens herb (Herba Bidentis).

Main physico-chemical properties:

ground raw material: fragments of leaves, stems, buds and flowers of various shapes passing through sieve №5600. Color is green, brownish-green or greenish-violet with dirty-yellow specks. Odor is weak. Taste is bitter, slightly astringent;

coarse powder: fragments of leaves, stems, buds and flowers of various shapes passing through sieve №1400. Color is green, brownish-green or greenish-violet with dirty-yellow specks. Odor is weak. Taste is bitter, slightly astringent.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

Biologically active substances of the herb exert diuretic, diaphoretic, anti-inflammatory, anti-allergic, choleretic, and bactericidal effects.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Allergic skin diseases, diatheses, pyodermas, psoriasis, eczema, neurodermatitis. Urinary tract diseases, metabolic disorders, allergies; cold-related illnesses (ARI, influenza) (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.

Usage Notes.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

By prescription only, in cases where the benefit to the mother clearly outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to influence reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 2 tablespoons of the herb in an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Allow to cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and press the residue, adding the expressed liquid to the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm, 2–3 times daily, 15–20 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ⅓ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ¼ cup.

Place 2 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 100 ml of boiling water, cover and let stand for 15 minutes. Take warm, 2–3 times daily, 15–20 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – 100 ml; for children aged 12–14 years – 50 ml.

Externally, the infusion may be used for compresses and baths.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Children.

The drug should not be administered internally to children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.

May result in an increased intensity of adverse reactions.

Adverse reactions.

In case of hypersensitivity to the drug, allergic reactions are possible (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling, urticaria).

Shelf life. 3 years.

Storage conditions.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, in a place inaccessible to children. Prepared infusion should be stored at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.
