INSTRUCTIONS for medical use of the medicinal product PHARMASEPTYL (PHARMASEPTYL)

Composition:

Active substance: ethanol;

not less than 69.3% vol./vol. and not more than 70.7% vol./vol. of ethanol and water.

Pharmaceutical form. Solution for external use.

Main physicochemical properties: clear, colorless, volatile, flammable liquid. Hygroscopic.

Pharmacological Properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

When applied externally, exerts antiseptic, disinfectant, and local irritant effects. Ethanol coagulates proteins and is active against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria as well as viruses.

Pharmacokinetics.

When applied locally, it is not absorbed through the skin.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Furuncles, paronychia, infiltrates, mastitis in the early stages. For wiping and compresses. Surgical hand disinfection.

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity. Should not be used in acute inflammatory skin conditions.

Special precautions.

In case of skin redness or irritation, discontinue use of the product and wash the area with water.

Avoid contact with eyes!

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

When ethanol is used topically, interactions with other medicinal products are unknown.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of this medicinal product is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Administration and Dosage.

Externally – for rubbing, compresses, and skin disinfection, including hands.

For compresses and rubbing (for burn prevention), ethanol should be diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio.

Children.

Use as directed by a physician.

Overdose.

With external application, cases of overdose are unknown.

Side effects.

Skin or mucous membrane irritation may occur with local application.

If any adverse reactions occur, consult a physician.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C, away from fire. Keep out of reach of children.
