Can this product be combined with other medicines?

The components of the drug may weaken the effect of antibacterial sulfonamides and enhance the effect of other local anesthetics. Any concurrent use of other medicines should be reported to a physician.

Can the drug be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women?

This is only possible in cases where the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the child or fetus.

Instructions for use

I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product MENOVAZIN (MENOVASINUM)

Composition:

Active substances: menthol, novocaine (procaine hydrochloride), anestezin (benzocaine);

100 ml of solution contain menthol – 2.5 g, novocaine (procaine hydrochloride) – 1 g, anestezin (benzocaine) – 1 g;

Excipient: ethanol 70%.

Pharmaceutical form. Topical solution, alcoholic.

Main physicochemical characteristics: colorless, clear liquid with a characteristic odor of menthol.

Pharmacotherapeutic group.
Agents used locally for joint and muscular pain.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics. The drug has anti-itching properties and a local anesthetic effect. When applied to the skin and mucous membranes, it stimulates nerve endings, causing sensations of cold, mild burning, and tingling.

It exerts a mild analgesic effect.

Pharmacokinetics. When applied locally, the drug does not enter the bloodstream.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

The drug is indicated for neuralgias, myalgias, and arthralgias.

Contraindications.

The drug is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to procaine and other components of the drug.

Safety precautions.

Do not apply to damaged skin or skin with signs of allergy. Do not apply to facial skin.

The application instructions for the medicinal product should not be violated, as this may harm health.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Components of the drug (procaine, anestezin) weaken the antibacterial effect of sulfonamide drugs. They enhance the effects of drugs with local anesthetic action.

When using any other medicinal products simultaneously, inform your doctor.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the use of this medicinal product is possible only when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or infant.

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving vehicles or operating machinery.

No effect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

The drug is intended for external use. Painful areas of the skin should be rubbed with Menovazin 2–3 times a day. The duration of treatment depends on the form and severity of the disease, the drug's effectiveness, and the nature of therapy (monotherapy or in combination with other medicinal agents).

Children.

Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.

Overdose.

With prolonged use, dizziness, general weakness, decreased arterial pressure, and allergic reactions may occur. If such symptoms appear, discontinue the drug, wash the residue off the skin surface with water, and administer symptomatic therapy.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible (hyperemia, skin irritation, itching sensation, rashes, swelling, urticaria).

If any adverse events occur, consult a physician immediately!

Shelf life. 2 years.

The product must not be used after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.

Packaging. 40 ml or 100 ml in bottles; 1 bottle per carton or without carton. 50 ml in bottles sealed with a mechanical spray pump; 1 bottle per carton.
