How to use Allergo-COMOD eye drops?
The recommended dose is 1 drop administered 4 times a day. The dosage is the same for adults and children. It is important not to touch the eye, eyelids, or any other surfaces with the tip of the dropper.
When should you not use this medicine?
Do not use it if you are allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients of the medicine. Use of the preparation is not recommended in breastfeeding women and during the first trimester of pregnancy.
Can I wear contact lenses during treatment?
If an ophthalmologist confirms that contact lenses can be used despite the eye inflammation, they should be removed before applying the drops. Contact lenses can only be reinserted 15 minutes after administration of the drops.
What are the possible side effects of Allergo-COMOD eye drops?
Rarely, eye stinging, a foreign body sensation in the eye, redness, or conjunctival swelling may occur. These symptoms usually resolve on their own. Transient vision disturbances may also occur after using the medicine.
Does the medicine affect driving?
Yes, due to possible transient vision disturbances, the use of the medicine may prolong reaction time while driving vehicles or operating machinery.
How long can the opened medicine be stored?
After the first opening of the bottle, the medicine can be used for 12 weeks. It should be stored at a temperature below 25°C.

1. What Allergo-Comod eye drops are and what they are used for
The indication for use is acute and chronic allergic conjunctivitis, e.g. conjunctivitis caused by hay fever, vernal allergic conjunctivitis and keratoconjunctivitis.
2. Important information before using Allergo-COMOD eye drops
When not to use Allergo-COMOD eye drops:
- if the patient is allergic to sodium cromoglicate or any of the other ingredients of the medicine (listed in section 6).
No interactions between sodium cromoglicate and other medicines used simultaneously in the eye are known.
Warnings and precautions
Before starting treatment with Allergo-COMOD eye drops, consult your doctor or
pharmacist.
An ophthalmologist should determine whether, despite existing allergic conjunctivitis, contact lens wear is still possible. If confirmed, contact lenses must be removed before instilling the drops, the drops should be administered, and the lenses may be reinserted after 15 minutes have passed.
You should consult your doctor, even if the above warnings refer to conditions that occurred in the past.
Children and adolescents
The safety of the medicine has not been established in children under 4 years of age.

Allergo-COMOD eye drops and other medicines
You should tell your doctor or pharmacist about all medicines you are currently using or have recently used, as well as any medicines you plan to use.
Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If the patient is pregnant or breastfeeding, suspects she may be pregnant, or is planning to have a baby, she should consult her doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine. There are no data available on the effect of the medicine on the foetus. The medicine should not be used during the first trimester of pregnancy and its use is not recommended during later stages of pregnancy.
Use of the medicine is not recommended in breastfeeding women.
Driving and operating machinery
Transient visual disturbances may occur after administration of the medicine, which could prolong reaction time in persons driving vehicles or operating machinery.
3. How to use Allergo-Comod eye drops
This medicine should always be used exactly as described in the patient information leaflet or as advised by a doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult a doctor or pharmacist.
The recommended dose is 1 drop, 4 times daily.
Use in children
The dosage for adults and children is the same.
Do not touch the eye, eyelid, surrounding areas of the eye or other surfaces with the dropper tip.
Use of a higher than recommended dose of Allergo-Comod eye drops
Cases of overdose have not been reported. There is no known specific treatment in such a case.
4. Possible adverse reactions
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause adverse reactions, although not everybody will experience them.
Rarely, transient stinging of the eyes, foreign body sensation in the eye, conjunctival hyperaemia and
conjunctival oedema may occur. These symptoms usually resolved spontaneously. In case of suspected
hypersensitivity to Allergo-COMOD drops, the patient should contact their doctor.
Other adverse reactions may occur in some individuals during treatment with this medicine. If any other
adverse effects not listed in this leaflet occur, inform your doctor.

If any adverse reactions occur, including any adverse reactions not listed in this leaflet, inform your doctor or pharmacist. 5. How to store Allergo-COMOD eye drops
Keep the medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton. The expiry date refers to the last day of the specified month.
After first opening the bottle, the medicine can be used for 12 weeks.
Store below 25°C.
Medicines must not be disposed of via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of medicines no longer required. Such measures help protect the environment.

What Allergo-COMOD eye drops contains
- The active substance is sodium cromoglicate.
- The other ingredients are: disodium edetate, sorbitol, water for injections.

Allergo-COMOD eye drops is a clear, colourless or slightly yellow solution contained in a bottle with a pump dispenser.
Each pack contains 1 plastic bottle of 10 ml.
