Frequently asked questions

How should DIFOSFOCIN be taken?

Up to 1000 mg per day can be taken, either in a single dose or divided into multiple administrations. Administration can be via intramuscular injection, slow intravenous injection, or through intravenous drip infusion (fleboclysis).

What is the recommended dose for parkinsonian syndromes?

The indicated dose is 500 - 1000 mg per day. Treatment cycles of 3-4 weeks are recommended, with appropriate intervals between cycles.

When should this medicine not be taken?

It must not be used in case of hypersensitivity (allergy) to the active substance or to any of the other components of the medicinal product.

Are there any special precautions to follow during use?

In case of severe cerebral edema, it is necessary to administer substances that lower intracranial pressure along with the drug, such as mannitol or corticosteroids. If intracranial hemorrhage is present, doses exceeding 500 mg should not be administered at once to avoid increasing cerebral blood flow; in these cases, smaller doses (100-200 mg) can be used 2 or 3 times a day. During pregnancy or in early infancy, use should only occur if strictly necessary and under the direct supervision of a physician. If administered intravenously, the injection must be very slow.

Does the drug interact with other medicines?

The product can be used together with antihemorrhagics, substances that reduce intracranial pressure, and perfusion fluids. In Parkinson's disease, it acts synergistically with L-Dopa, allowing for a reduction in its dosage.

Does the medicine affect driving or the use of machines?

No, DIFOSFOCIN does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or use machinery.
