INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT COMFREY TINCTURE (SYMPHYTITINCTURA)
Composition:
Active ingredient: 1 vial contains comfrey tincture of roots (Symphyti radices) (1:10) (extractant – ethanol 55%) 50 ml.
Pharmaceutical form. Tincture.
Main physico-chemical properties: clear dark brown liquid with a faint odor. Formation of a slight sediment during storage is permissible.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents used locally for joint and muscular pain. ATC code M02AX.
Pharmacological Properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The main active ingredients of Symphytum officinale tincture are allantoin, mucilaginous substances, and tannins. Allantoin stimulates bone tissue growth, epithelial regeneration, reduces pain sensations, and exerts hemostatic and anti-inflammatory effects; the tannins of Symphytum officinale accelerate the healing processes of wounds and ulcerative lesions.
