How should Sorbolong detox be taken correctly?
Adults and children aged 14 and older should take 1-2 capsules 2-3 times a day. It is important to take it 1.5-2 hours before meals or 2 hours after them, drinking a sufficient amount of water. A typical course of treatment lasts from 7 to 14 days.
Can children take this drug?
The drug is permitted for use in children aged 14 and older. To make it easier to swallow, the capsule can be opened and the contents mixed with a small amount of liquid.
Who should not take this drug?
Contraindications include acute intestinal obstruction and individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
What are the possible side effects?
During the initial doses, short-term constipation may occur. Individual reactions to the components of the formulation are also possible. People prone to constipation are recommended to use laxatives or perform a cleansing enema at night during the first two days of administration.
Can Sorbolong detox be taken with other medicines?
The drug can be used as part of combination therapy with other agents, particularly probiotics and immunomodulators, but it is important to space them out in time (take them separately). Simultaneous intake with drugs containing silver or bile acid sequestrants (e.g., cholestyramine) is not recommended, as this may cause constipation.
Can the drug be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women?
The drug can be used; however, pregnant women prone to constipation should limit its use.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT SORBOLONG DETOX (SORBOLONGDETOX)
Composition:
Active ingredient: polymethylsiloxane xerogel, hydrophilized with inulin;
1 capsule contains polymethylsiloxane xerogel, hydrophilized with inulin – 0.427 g, equivalent to 0.32 g of polymethylsiloxane xerogel;
Excipients: capsule composition: gelatin, titanium dioxide (E 171).
Pharmaceutical form. Capsules for oral administration.
Main physicochemical properties: hard gelatin capsules, body and cap of white color. The contents of the capsules are a white or yellowish powder, possibly with light brown specks, odorless.

Pharmacological Properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
When administered internally, exerts a detoxifying effect due to its sorption properties. The drug effectively adsorbs medium-molecular toxic substances and products of incomplete metabolism from the intestinal contents and blood (through capillary membranes of intestinal mucosal villi), and promotes the elimination of incorporated radionuclides. SORBOLONH DETOX alleviates symptoms of intoxication, improves intestinal, liver, and kidney function, and normalizes blood and urine parameters.
Pharmacokinetics.
The drug coats the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines, protecting them from erosive processes. It is not absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Treatment of manifestations of alcoholic liver disease (fatty liver disease, alcoholic hepatitis, alcoholic liver cirrhosis, liver fibrosis and sclerosis) and other toxic liver injuries.
As part of complex detoxification therapy in the treatment of mild to moderate alcohol intoxication, as well as in the management of post-intoxication disorders following severe acute alcohol poisoning, and for reducing the hepatotoxic effects of alcohol.
For children aged 14 years and older as part of complex detoxification therapy.
Contraindications.
Acute intestinal obstruction.
Individual intolerance to the components of the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
Provided the recommended administration method is followed (SORBOLONG DETOX and medicinal products should be taken separately), the drug may be used in combination therapy with other medicinal and preventive agents, including bacterial preparations (bifidum-, lactobacteria), immunomodulators. Concurrent use with agents belonging to the bile acid sequestrant class, such as cholestyramine, is not recommended due to increased risk of constipation.
The drug should not be used concomitantly with silver-containing preparations.
Special precautions for use.
The product should be taken according to the recommendations provided in this instruction.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
The product can be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, use should be limited in pregnant women who are prone to constipation.
Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

Dosage and Administration.
Take orally, 1-2 capsules 2-3 times daily, 1.5–2 hours before or 2 hours after meals or taking other medications, with sufficient amount of water.
For adults and children aged 14 years and older, the single dose is 1–2 capsules, and the daily dose is 6 capsules.
The usual treatment course lasts from 7 to 14 days; in other cases, the duration of treatment is determined by a physician.
Children.
The medication can be used in children aged 14 years and older. To facilitate swallowing, the capsule (single dose) may be opened prior to administration, and the contents mixed with a small amount of liquid.
Overdose.
Exceeding the maximum single doses does not cause adverse reactions.
Side effects.
Short-term constipation may occur with initial use of the drug. To prevent constipation in predisposed individuals, an enema at bedtime or the use of laxatives (lactulose, sodium picosulfate) is recommended during the first two days of treatment.
Individual intolerance to drug components is possible.
Shelf life. 3 years.
