Place 1 tablespoon of leaves in enameled cookware, pour in 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and infuse in a water bath for 15 minutes. After this, allow it to cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze out the residue, and bring the volume of the infusion up to 200 ml with boiled water.

How should the preparation be used by children and adults?

The infusion is used for gargling or inhalation 3-4 times a day. Adults and children aged 12 and older use the undiluted infusion. Children aged 7-12 years need to dilute 4 tablespoons of the infusion in 200 ml of water, and children aged 3-7 years — 2 tablespoons in 200 ml of water.

Who should not use this remedy?

The preparation is contraindicated in case of hypersensitivity to its biologically active substances.

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT SAGE LEAVES

Composition:

Active substance: sage leaves (Salviae officinalis folium);

One pack contains sage leaves (Salviae officinalis folium) 40 g or 50 g.

Dosage form. Leaves.

Main physico-chemical characteristics: fragments of leaves of various shapes and sizes. The upper surface of the leaves is greenish-gray in color and finely reticulate; the lower surface is white, tomentose, and covered with a dense network of prominent fine veins.

Pharmacotherapeutic group.

Agents used in dentistry. ATC Code A01AD11.

Pharmacological properties.

Biologically active substances of the leaves densify epithelial tissues, reduce cellular membrane permeability, and strengthen the walls of damaged blood vessels. They exert astringent, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, and hemostatic effects.
