If filter bags are used, pour 200 ml of boiling water over 3 bags and infuse for 15 minutes.
What is the dosage of Plantaginis majoris folium for adults and children?
For adults, it is recommended to take the infusion warm 10-15 minutes before meals (for adults taking leaves — 1/3 cup 3 times a day; for adults taking filter bags — 1/2 cup 4 times a day). For children from 1 year of age, the dosage depends on age: from 1 teaspoon (for 1-3 years) to 1/3-1/2 cup (for 10-14 years).
Who should not take this preparation?
Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the components, gastritis or gastric ulcer with increased acidity, duodenal ulcer, tendency to thrombosis (increased blood clotting), and reflux esophagitis.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT PLANTAIN LEAF (PLANTAGINIS MAJORIS FOLIA)
Composition:
Active ingredient: plantain leaf (Plantaginis majoris folia);
1 pack contains 50 g of plantain leaf (Plantaginis majoris folia);
1 filter bag contains 1.5 g of plantain leaf (Plantaginis majoris folia).
Pharmaceutical form. Leaves.
Main physicochemical properties: fragments of leaves of various shapes, green to brownish-green in color.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Expectorants. ATC code R05C A.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The biologically active substances of the drug exert expectorant, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, hemostatic, wound-healing, and bacteriostatic effects; enhance functional activity of the respiratory epithelium, promote secretion and evacuation of mucus from the airways, reduce coughing; stimulate gastric juice secretion and increase acidity; promote cleansing of wound and ulcerated surfaces from pus-forming bacteria and enhance granulation processes in affected tissues.

Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Hyperacid gastritis, duodenal ulcer and gastric ulcer with increased acidity; increased blood coagulation and predisposition to thrombosis, reflux esophagitis.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.
Do not use simultaneously with antitussive drugs and medicinal products that reduce sputum secretion.
Special precautions for use.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Upon prescription by a physician in cases where the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage
Place 2 tablespoons of leaves into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained infusion, and adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.
Adults should take 1/3 cup of the warm infusion three times daily, 10–15 minutes before meals.
Children:
- 1–3 years: 1 teaspoon
- 2–5 years: 1 dessert spoon
- 5–10 years: 1 tablespoon
- 10–14 years: 1/4 cup
three times daily, 10–15 minutes before meals.
Place 3 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cover and steep for 15 minutes.
Adults should take 1/2 cup of the warm infusion four times daily, 10–15 minutes before meals.
Children:
