Frequently asked questions

How should Imunofit be taken correctly?

Adults and children aged 12 and older should take it warm 20–30 minutes before meals 3 times a day (the last dose should be no later than 17:00). If it is a herbal tea blend, pour 500 ml of boiling water over 2 tablespoons and let it steep for 1 hour. If it is filter bags, pour 150 ml of boiling water over 2 bags and let it steep for 15 minutes. Typically, the course lasts 15–20 days, but no more than 8 weeks.

Who should not take this drug?

Contraindicated in children under 12 years of age, people with allergies to plants of the Asteraceae family, or hypersensitivity to the components of the composition. It should also not be taken in cases of tuberculosis, oncological diseases, autoimmune diseases, blood disorders, AIDS, kidney, liver, or heart diseases, stage III hypertension, rheumatism, thrombophlebitis, and severe obesity.

What side effects can Imunofit cause?

Allergic reactions are possible: rash, itching, edema, or difficulty breathing. In rare cases, nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea may occur. With prolonged use (over 8 weeks) or incorrect dosage, edema, increased blood pressure, and disturbances in water-electrolyte balance are possible.

Can the drug be combined with other medicines?

Prolonged use together with cardiac glycosides, antiarrhythmic drugs, diuretics, or laxatives may disrupt the water-electrolyte balance. It is not recommended to take it simultaneously with drugs that affect the liver (e.g., amiodarone, methotrexate, ketoconazole, steroids). Additionally, the immunostimulating effect may reduce the efficacy of immunosuppressant drugs.

Can the drug be taken by pregnant or breastfeeding women?

Due to the lack of sufficient experience, use during pregnancy is not recommended. If you are breastfeeding, lactation should be discontinued before taking the drug.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT IMUNOFIT

Composition:

Active substances: 1 package (100 g) contains a mixture of herbal raw materials: purple coneflower roots (Echinaceae purpureae radix) 17 g, leopard's-bane roots (Leuzeae radix) 17 g, rose hips (Rosae pseudo-fructus) 17 g, dandelion roots (Taraxaci officinalis radix) 14 g, elecampane roots (Inulae helenii radix) 14 g, licorice roots (Liquiritiae radix) 14 g, sweet flag rhizomes (Calami radix) 7 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Herbal mixture.

Main physicochemical properties: mixture of irregularly shaped fragments of grayish-green color with brown-red, orange, yellow and white inclusions. Odor is weak, pleasant.

Pharmacodynamics.

The medicinal product exerts a stimulating effect on the central nervous system, increases work capacity, has adaptogenic properties and enhances the body's resistance to physical and mental stress factors. Improves appetite and digestion, normalizes metabolism. Has a spasmolytic effect.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications. Prevention of colds. In complex therapy of asthenic conditions, physical and mental fatigue; after exhausting somatic or infectious diseases, in alcoholism, to enhance work capacity under extreme working conditions, as well as in case of poor appetite.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Allergy to plants of the daisy family (Compositae/Asteraceae), tuberculosis, immunosuppression (oncological diseases), autoimmune diseases (collagenoses, multiple sclerosis), disorders of the leukocyte blood system (leukemia, agranulocytosis), immunodeficiency (AIDS/HIV infection), rheumatism, thrombophlebitis, acute and chronic renal failure, acute and chronic hepatic failure, liver cirrhosis, cholestatic disorders, hypokalemia, increased nervous excitability, arterial hypertension stage III, organic heart lesions (myocarditis, pericarditis, myocardial infarction), severe obesity.

Special precautions. Should be used with caution in patients with increased blood coagulation and in patients with diabetes mellitus.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Prolonged simultaneous use with cardiac glycosides, adrenocorticosteroids, antiarrhythmic agents (quinidine), laxatives, thiazide and loop diuretics may lead to disturbances in water-electrolyte balance.

Due to the immunostimulatory effect of echinacea, the efficacy of immunosuppressive drugs may be reduced.

Concomitant use with hepatotoxic drugs is not recommended: amiodarone, methotrexate, ketoconazole, and steroid preparations.

Special precautions for use.

Prolonged use of the medicinal product (more than 8 weeks) is not recommended.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Due to insufficient experience with the use of the drug during pregnancy, it should not be used in this category of patients. If it is necessary to use the drug during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery. No effect.

Dosage and Administration.

Steep 2 tablespoons of the herbal mixture in 500 ml of boiling water. Let it stand, covered, for 1 hour, then strain.

For adults and children aged 12 years and older, take 150 ml three times daily in warm form, 20–30 minutes before meals (the last dose should be taken no later than 5 p.m.).

The duration of use should be determined by a physician. Typically, the treatment course lasts 15–20 days. If necessary, the course may be repeated upon a physician's recommendation.

Overdose. May result in increased severity of adverse reactions, as well as nausea, vomiting, gastrointestinal disturbances, increased excitability, and sleep disorders.

Adverse Reactions

The medicinal product is generally well tolerated by patients and has not so far caused any adverse reactions. However, according to scientific literature, administration of some of its components, particularly the roots of Echinacea purpurea, may cause allergic reactions such as skin redness or swelling, rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema, breathing difficulties, anaphylactic shock, and Stevens-Johnson syndrome; leukopenia may occur with prolonged use. In rare cases, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea are possible, which resolve after discontinuation of the product. Also, prolonged use of licorice root (more than 8 weeks) in excessive doses may lead to disturbances in water-electrolyte balance (edema formation, development of hypokalemia, increased arterial pressure). Therefore, although IMUNOFIT herbal blend contains small amounts of each component, the aforementioned effects cannot be completely excluded, particularly in individual cases of hypersensitivity to the product's components or in case of non-compliance with the recommended dosage regimen.
