How should Glodu tincture be taken correctly?
The drug should be taken orally before meals. For adults, it is recommended to take 20 drops 3 times a day until a stable effect (normalization of blood pressure and heart rate) is achieved. For children aged 12 and older, the dosage is 1 drop per year of age, 3 times a day.
Who should not take this drug?
Contraindications include individual intolerance to the components, pronounced arterial hypotension (low blood pressure), and bradycardia (low heart rate). The drug should not be used by pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and children under 12 years of age.
What side effects may Glodu tincture cause?
Rarely, drowsiness, a significant decrease in blood pressure, or allergic reactions (rash, itching, skin edema, redness) may be observed.
Can I drive a vehicle while taking it?
Since the product contains ethyl alcohol and may cause drowsiness, one should refrain from driving motor vehicles and operating dangerous mechanisms during treatment.
How does the drug interact with other medicines?
The tincture enhances the effects of cardiac glycosides, hypnotics, sedatives, and antihypertensive agents, as well as antiarrhythmic drugs. It is not recommended to take it together with alkaloid salts and cisapride. If taking other medications simultaneously, it is necessary to consult a physician.
What should be done in case of overdose?
In case of significant overdose, drowsiness, decreased blood pressure, and slowed heart rate are possible. In such an event, administration must be discontinued, and medical assistance should be sought for symptomatic therapy.

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT HAWTHORN TINCTURE (TINCTURA CRATAEGI)
Composition:
Active ingredient: hawthorn fruit tincture (Tinctura Crataegi Fructus);
One vial (bottle) contains: hawthorn fruit tincture (Tinctura Crataegi Fructus) (1:10) (extractant ethanol 70% (v/v)) 25 ml or 100 ml;
Excipients: none, except the extractant.
Pharmaceutical form. Tincture.
Main physicochemical properties: clear, yellowish-red liquid with a slightly sweet taste. Sediment formation may occur during storage.

Pharmacodynamics.
Biologically active substances contained in Crataegus fruit (flavonoids, choline, acetylcholine, tannins, phytosterols, triterpenic acids) enhance circulation in the coronary vessels and cerebral vessels, increase myocardial sensitivity to cardiac glycosides, and reduce its excitability, resulting in a moderate enhancement of myocardial contractions.
Pharmacokinetics.
The drug is well absorbed after oral administration. The effect occurs within 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Functional disorders of the cardiovascular system (neurocirculatory dystonia), as well as an auxiliary medicinal agent in mild forms of cardiac arrhythmias (atrial fibrillation, paroxysmal tachycardia).
Contraindications.
Individual intolerance to components of the medicinal agent. Pronounced arterial hypotension, bradycardia.
Interaction with other medicinal agents and other types of interactions.
Glod tincture potentiates the action of antiarrhythmic agents. The medicinal agent enhances the effects of cardiac glycosides, hypnotics, sedatives, and antihypertensive agents. Concomitant use with alkaloid salts is not recommended due to the possibility of forming negative complexes. The medicinal agent should not be used together with cisapride. If simultaneous use of any medicinal agents is necessary, a physician should be consulted.
Special precautions for use.
The medicinal product is not recommended to be taken during meals in order to avoid interactions with food components.
The medicinal product is a traditional herbal medicinal product for use according to indications supported by long-standing use.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as the product contains ethanol.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.
The medicinal product contains ethyl alcohol and may cause drowsiness; therefore, during the use of this medicinal product, driving vehicles or operating potentially hazardous machinery should be avoided.
Dosage and Administration
Take orally before meals. The recommended dose for adults is 20 drops of the tincture; for children aged 12 years and older – 1 drop per year of life, three times daily, until a stable therapeutic effect is achieved (normalization of arterial blood pressure, reduction of heart rate).
The patient should consult a physician if disease symptoms persist during treatment or if adverse reactions not listed in the instructions for medical use occur.
Children
Do not use in children under 12 years of age due to the presence of ethanol in the medicinal product.
Overdose
Significant overdose may result in drowsiness, bradycardia, and decreased arterial blood pressure. In such cases, discontinue the drug and administer symptomatic therapy.
Side effects.
Rarely observed: drowsiness, significant decrease in blood pressure, allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling).
If any adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the medicinal product and consult a physician immediately.
