The preparation is used to stop pulmonary, intestinal, hemorrhoidal, nasal, and uterine bleeding. It is also applied for gastritis with low acidity, gastric and duodenal ulcers, spastic colitis, flatulence, as well as for diseases of the liver, bile ducts, kidneys, and bladder (as part of complex therapy).

How to correctly prepare and take Herb derewju?

If using the herb: pour 200 ml of boiling water over 1.5 tablespoons, infuse in a water bath for 15 min, cool for 45 min, strain, and top up the volume with water to 200 ml. If using filter bags: pour 100 ml of boiling water over 2 bags and infuse for 15-20 min. Adults and children aged 14 and older should take 1/3–1/2 cup (or 100 ml for filter bags), children aged 12-14 years — 1/4 cup (or 50 ml for filter bags). Take warm 2-3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals.

Who should not take this preparation?

Contraindicated in cases of increased blood clotting and a tendency toward thrombosis. It should also not be used in case of hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation or to other plants of the Asteraceae family. Use is prohibited for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as it increases uterine tone.

What side effects can Herb derewju cause?

Allergic reactions such as redness, rash, itching, and skin edema are possible. In case of overdose, dizziness and nausea may occur.

Can the preparation be prescribed to children?

The preparation can be used by children aged 12 and older, but only as prescribed by a physician.

What should I do if I am taking other medicines simultaneously?

Since interactions with other agents are unknown, it is necessary to consult a physician before simultaneous administration of any other medicinal products.

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT YARROW HERB (MILLEFOLIIHERBA)

Composition:

Active substance: yarrow herb (Millefoliiherba);

1 pack contains: yarrow herb (Millefoliiherba) 50 g;

1 filter bag contains: yarrow herb (Millefoliiherba) 1.5 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Herb.

Main physicochemical properties: fragments of leaves, stems, flower heads and their parts of various shapes; grayish-green in color with white, brown, purple and yellowish specks.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Plant-derived hemostatic agents.

Pharmacodynamics.

Biologically active substances of the herb enhance blood coagulation, exert anti-inflammatory, bactericidal, and anti-allergic effects, and demonstrate a spasmolytic effect on smooth muscles of the intestine, urinary and biliary tracts.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

Pulmonary, intestinal, hemorrhoidal, nasal, uterine (in inflammatory conditions, fibroids) bleeding, hypoacid gastritis, gastric and duodenal ulcer, ulcerative spastic colitis, meteorism, diseases of the liver and biliary tract (hepatitis, cholecystitis, angiocholitis), diseases of the kidneys and urinary bladder (cystitis, urethritis, glomerulonephritis, pyelonephritis) – as part of complex therapy.

Contraindications.

Increased blood coagulation, predisposition to thrombosis. Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the drug or to other plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction.

Not known. In case of necessity to use simultaneously with any other medicinal products, consult a physician.

Usage characteristics.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Contraindicated (increases uterine tone).

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery.

Dosage and Administration.

Place 1.5 tablespoons of the herb into an enameled container, pour 200 mL of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and heat on a water bath for 15 minutes. Allow to cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water.

Take warm, 2–3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ⅓ to ½ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – ¼ cup.

Place 2 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 100 mL of boiling water, cover, and let steep for 15–20 minutes. Take warm, 2–3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – 100 mL; for children aged 12–14 years – 50 mL. Shake the infusion before use.

Store the prepared infusion at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Children.

The medication should be used in children aged 12 years and older only as prescribed by a physician.

Overdose.

Possible allergic reactions (hyperemia, rash), dizziness, nausea.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, and skin swelling). If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician.

Shelf life. 3 years.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a place inaccessible to children.

Packaging. 50 g in cartons with an inner pouch; 1.5 g in filter sachets, 20 sachets per carton or in a carton with an inner pouch.
