The drug is intended for adults and adolescents (from 12 years of age) for the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection in patients with immunodeficiencies, as well as for its prevention in patients with drug-induced immunosuppression (e.g., after organ transplantation or chemotherapy). In infants from birth, the drug is prescribed for universal prophylaxis of CMV infection in cases of drug-induced immunosuppression.
