1. What EUCLORINA is and what it is used for

EUCLORINA contains the active substance chloramine, which belongs to a class of medicines known as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing down or preventing the growth of bacteria.
EUCLORINA 1% cutaneous solution is used in adults and children for washes and compresses in the following:

• Immediate disinfection of minor superficial wounds, grazes, and abrasions.
• Skin disinfection prior to injections.
• Disinfection of mild pressure sores (skin lesions affecting body areas subjected to prolonged pressure).

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

2. What you should know before using EUCLORINA

Do not use EUCLORINA

• if you are allergic to chloramine, substances similar to it, or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).

Warnings and precautions
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using EUCLORINA.
This medicinal product is for external use only.
Accidental ingestion or inhalation of some disinfectants may lead to serious, sometimes fatal, consequences.
Do not use for prolonged treatments: if after a short period of treatment no appreciable results occur, consult your doctor.
The use, especially if prolonged, of topical products may lead to sensitization phenomena (excessive reaction of the body to foreign substances it has come into contact with); in such cases, discontinue treatment and consult your doctor to establish an appropriate therapy.

Other medicines and EUCLORINA
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are currently taking, have recently taken, or might take any other medicines.
Avoid simultaneous use of other antiseptics and detergents.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding
If you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicinal product.
This medicinal product may be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Driving and using machines
EUCLORINA does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate machinery.

3. How to use EUCLORINA

Use this medicine exactly as stated in this leaflet or according to the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Apply the medicine directly to the area to be disinfected, using a sterile gauze, cotton, or compress, up to 2–3 times a day if necessary.
The bottle is equipped with a child-resistant closure system.
To open:

1. Break the security seal
2. Press down on the top of the cap while simultaneously turning it

To close:
Screw it tightly.
Consult your doctor if the condition persists or recurs.
If you use more EUCLORINA than you should
In case of accidental ingestion of an excessive dose of EUCLORINA 1% cutaneous solution, contact your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.

4. Possible side effects

Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
In some cases, intolerance (burning or irritation) may occur, which does not require a change in treatment as these side effects are generally temporary. However, if they do occur, it is advisable to consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Following the instructions provided in this leaflet reduces the risk of side effects.

5. How to store EUCLORINA

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children.
Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the packaging.
The expiry date refers to the product in its original packaging, correctly stored and unopened.
Do not dispose of any medicine via wastewater or household waste. Ask your pharmacist how to dispose of
medicines you no longer use. This will help protect the environment.

What EUCLORINA contains

• The active substance is chloramine. 100 ml of 1% solution contain 1 g of chloramine.
• The other components are: sodium carbonate monohydrate, sodium bicarbonate, purified water up to 100 ml.

Description of the appearance of EUCLORINA and contents of the pack
The medicine is a 1% cutaneous solution. Packs are available containing either a 250 ml bottle or a 500 ml bottle.

1. What EUCLORINA is and what it is used for

EUCLORINA contains the active substance chloramine, which belongs to a class of medicines known as antiseptics and disinfectants. These medicines work by slowing down or preventing the growth of bacteria.
EUCLORINA 2.5% cutaneous solution is used for:

• Disinfection of the external genitalia, particularly during the puerperium (the period of time required for the female genital organs to return to their normal function after childbirth) and after delivery.
• Pre-operative prophylaxis (prevention) in general and gynecological surgery.
• Disinfectant foot baths.
• Disinfection of intact skin as well as skin with minor superficial wounds.

Consult your doctor if you do not feel better or if you feel worse.

2. What you need to know before using EUCLORINA

Do not use EUCLORINA

• if you are allergic to chloramine, substances similar to chloramine, or any of the other ingredients of this medicinal product (listed in section 6).

3. How to use EUCLORINA

Use this medicine exactly as stated in this leaflet or according to the instructions provided by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
For washes to be performed up to 4 times a day, dilute 25 ml of product (one measuring cup) in each liter of water.
The bottle is equipped with a closure cap featuring a child-resistant safety system.

To open:

1. Break the security seal
2. Press down on the top of the cap while simultaneously turning it

To close:
Screw the cap fully.
Do not exceed the recommended doses without medical advice.
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or recur.
If you use more EUCLORINA than you should
In case of accidental ingestion of an excessive dose of EUCLORINA 2.5% cutaneous solution, inform your doctor immediately or go to the nearest hospital.

3. How to use EUCLORINA

Use this medicine exactly as stated in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you have any doubts, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
For disinfection and cleansing of the skin:
Dissolve the contents of 4 sachets in 1 litre of water (or 1 sachet in 250 ml of water).
For disinfection of the external genital area:
Dissolve the contents of 1 sachet in 1 litre of water. Apply once daily, unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor.
Do not exceed the recommended doses without medical advice.
Consult your doctor if symptoms persist or recur.
