How to correctly prepare and take Herb of centaury?
If you are using the herb: pour 200 ml of hot water over 2 tablespoons, infuse in a water bath for 15 min, cool for 45 min, strain, and top up with water to a volume of 200 ml. Take 1 tablespoon 3 times a day, 30 min before meals. If you are using filter bags: pour 200 ml of boiling water over 2 bags, infuse for 15 min. Take 1/4 cup 3 times a day, 30 min before meals.
What side effects may occur from taking the preparation?
Allergic reactions or diarrhea are possible.
Who should not take this remedy?
The preparation is contraindicated in cases of gastric and duodenal ulcers, reflux esophagitis, as well as individual hypersensitivity to the components. It must not be used by pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and children under 18 years of age.
What to do in case of overdose?
Overdose may cause diarrhea; in such cases, symptomatic treatment is required.
How to store the prepared infusion?
The prepared infusion should be stored in a refrigerator at a temperature of 2 to 8 °C for no more than 2 days.

Composition:
Active substance: centaury herb (Centaurii herba).

Ground raw material: fragments of stems, leaves and flowers of various shapes, from light green, green, brownish-green to dark brown in color, with specks of whitish, ranging from whitish-pink to reddish hues;
Coarse powder: fragments of stems, leaves and flowers of various shapes, from light green, green, brownish-green to dark brown in color, with specks of whitish, ranging from whitish-pink to reddish hues.

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics.
The biologically active substances of the medicinal product stimulate secretion of the gastrointestinal tract glands, enhance bile excretion, strengthen intestinal peristalsis, uterine muscle contractions, and exhibit anti-inflammatory, analgesic, hepatoprotective, mild laxative, and anthelmintic effects.
Clinical characteristics.
Indications.
Reduced appetite; hypoacid states; nausea; meteorism; chronic hepatitis; biliary tract and gallbladder dyskinesia of hypotonic and hypokinetic types; cholecystitis.
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to the drug. Reflux esophagitis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other forms of interaction. Unknown.
Special precautions.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contraindicated.
Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Not established.
Method of Administration and Dosage
Place 2 tablespoons of the herb into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, strain, and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water. Take warm, 1 tablespoon three times a day, 30 minutes before meals.
Place 2 filter packets into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cover and steep for 15 minutes. Take warm, ¼ cup three times a day, 30 minutes before meals.
Store the prepared infusion in the refrigerator (at 2–8 °C) for no more than 2 days.
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.
Children. Contraindicated in children under 18 years of age.
Overdose. Diarrhea. Treatment is symptomatic.
