How should Sosny brunki be prepared and taken correctly?

Place 2 tablespoons of buds in enameled cookware, add 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and infuse in a water bath for 30 minutes. After cooling, strain the liquid, squeeze the remaining material, and add water to the decoction to bring the volume up to 200 ml. The decoction is taken warm 3 times a day after meals. Dosage depends on age: adults and children aged 14 and older — 1/3 cup; children aged 12-14 — 2 tablespoons; 7-12 years — 1 tablespoon; 3-7 years — 1 teaspoon.

Who should not take this preparation?

Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the components, bronchial asthma, as well as kidney diseases (nephritis, nephrosis, glomerulonephritis, nephropathies) and liver diseases (hepatitis).

Can the preparation be taken by pregnant women and children?

Oral administration is prohibited for pregnant and breastfeeding women, as it may harm the kidneys. The preparation can be used by children aged 3 years and older.

What are the possible side effects of Sosny brunki?

Allergic reactions are possible (rash, itching, skin edema, redness). Changes in urine may also be observed (albuminuria, hematuria). Bronchospasm is possible when using inhalations.

What happens if too much of the preparation is taken?

Overdose or excessively prolonged use may lead to headache and inflammation of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract or urinary tract.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT PINE BUDS (PINI GEMMAE)

Composition:

Active substance: pine buds (Pinigemmae);

One package contains: pine buds (Pinigemmae) 30 g;

One package contains: pine buds (Pini gemmae) 75 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Buds.

Main physico-chemical properties: individual buds or several pieces in whorls, without stem or with stem residue; external color reddish-brown, green or brown when broken; aromatic, resinous odor; bitter taste.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Agents used for cough and colds. Expectorants. ATC Code R05C A.

Pharmacological Properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

The biologically active components of the drug stimulate secretory activity of the mucous membranes of the upper respiratory tract, exert an expectorant effect, act bactericidally against pathogenic microflora of the nasopharynx and oral cavity, and also have mild diuretic and diaphoretic properties.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications. Respiratory tract diseases (chronic bronchitis, pneumonia);

externally – in laryngitis, tracheitis, tonsillitis (as part of complex therapy).

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the drug. Nephritis, nephroses, pyelitis, glomerulonephritis, hepatitis, pregnancy-related nephropathies, bronchial asthma.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.

Usage characteristics.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contraindicated for internal use (may provoke kidney damage).

Ability to affect reaction speed when driving or operating machinery. Does not affect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Place 2 tablespoons of buds into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep on a boiling water bath for 30 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 10 minutes, strain, squeeze the residue into the strained decoction. Adjust the decoction volume to 200 ml with boiled water. Administer warm, 3 times daily after meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ⅓ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – 2 tablespoons; for children aged 7–12 years – 1 tablespoon; for children aged 3–7 years – 1 teaspoon.

Warm decoction can be used locally for inhalations and gargling. Shake the preparation before use.

Store the prepared decoction at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of treatment course is determined individually by a physician.

Children. The preparation may be used in children aged 3 years and older.

Overdose. Overdose and prolonged use may cause inflammation of mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and urinary tract, as well as headache.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling); albuminuria, hematuria. Bronchospasm is possible with inhalation use.

Shelf life. 2 years.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a place inaccessible to children.
