INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT PRONOSNY ZBIR № 1 (LAXANTES SPECIES № 1)

Composition:

Active substances: 1 g of the herbal mixture contains: buckthorn bark (Frangulae cortex) 0.5 g; nettle leaf (Urticae folia) 0.333 g; yarrow herb (Millefolii herba) 0.167 g.

Medicinal form. Herbal mixture.

Main physico-chemical properties: mixture of heterogeneous fragments of leaves, stems, bark, dark green, grayish-brown, dark brown in color, with whitish specks.

Pharmacotherapeutic group. Laxatives. ATC code A06AX.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

The biologically active substances in the herbal mixture exert a mild laxative effect due to enhanced intestinal peristalsis.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications. Chronic constipation.

Contraindications. Hypersensitivity to the active ingredients of the drug or to other plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family. Chronic stomach and intestinal diseases (gastritis, gastroenteritis, colitis) during exacerbation, intestinal bleeding and obstruction, neurogenic and endocrine constipation, spastic constipation, "acute abdomen" syndrome, appendicitis, inflammatory processes in the abdominal cavity, acute severe conditions, increased blood coagulation, bleeding caused by cysts, polyps, and tumors of the uterus and its appendages, predisposition to thrombosis.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. Unknown.

Special precautions.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Contraindicated.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery. No effect.

Administration and Dosage.

Place 2 dessert spoons of the herbal mixture into an enameled container, pour 200 ml of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain, squeezing the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the volume of the infusion to 200 ml with boiled water.

Take warm, at night and in the morning: adults – ½ cup, children aged 12 years and older – ¼–⅓ cup. Shake the infusion before use.

Place 2 filter bags into a glass or enameled container, pour 200 ml of boiling water, cover, and steep for 15 minutes. Take warm, at night and in the morning: adults – 1 cup, children aged 12 years and older – ½–⅔ cup.

Store the prepared infusion at 8–15 °C for no more than 2 days.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician.

Children. The drug should be used in children aged 12 years and older.

Overdose. In case of overdose, colicky abdominal pain, tenesmus, discomfort, dizziness, and nausea may occur. If these symptoms occur, discontinue the drug. Treatment is symptomatic.

Adverse reactions.

Allergic reactions are possible in cases of hypersensitivity to the drug (including hyperemia, rash, itching, and skin swelling). With prolonged use, the following may develop: colic-like pain, nausea, vomiting, epigastric pain, diarrhea with metabolic disturbances, dehydration, decreased intestinal enzyme function, and colon atony.

Shelf life. 2 years. Do not use after the expiry date stated on the packaging.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C
in a place inaccessible to children.

75 g in cartons with an inner pouch;
2.0 g in tea-filter bags, in a pack of 20 in a box or in a carton with an inner pouch.
