Adults and children aged 14 and older should take 10–15 drops diluted in 1 tablespoon of liquid, 3–4 times a day. Children aged 12 to 14 years should take 10–12 drops diluted in 1 tablespoon of liquid.
What side effects can Ammonia-anise drops cause?
Allergic reactions are possible, including skin rash, itching, redness, swelling, or bronchospasm.
Who should not use this product?
The drug is not prescribed in cases of individual intolerance. It should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Can the drug be combined with other medicines?
The effect is enhanced when taken together with preparations containing marshmallow, thermopsis, or other expectorants. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs may also be prescribed if necessary. It is important to avoid simultaneous intake with other medicines containing ethanol.

INSTRUCTION FOR MEDICAL USE OF AMMONIA-ANISE DROPS
Composition:
Active substances: 1 ml of the preparation contains anise oil 0.0281 g, 10 % ammonia solution 0.15 ml;
Excipient: diluted ethanol.
1 drop (0.02 ml) contains 70 % (0.014 ml) of diluted ethanol.
Pharmaceutical form. Oral drops, solution.
Main physicochemical characteristics: clear, colorless or slightly yellowish liquid with a strong anise and ammonia odor.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Medicinal products used for cough and colds. Expectorants.

Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics. A combination medicinal product with expectorant action. Anise oil stimulates secretion of the bronchial glands; ammonia promotes liquefaction of sputum and facilitates its expulsion. In addition, anise oil improves digestion and exerts carminative and antiseptic effects. As a result of treatment, digestion is improved, secretory and motor functions of the stomach and intestines are normalized, and meteorism disappears.

Contraindications.
Do not administer "Ammonia-anise drops" in case of individual intolerance to the drug.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
Preparations of Thermopsis, Althaea, and other expectorants enhance the therapeutic effect of "Ammonia-anise drops".
It is necessary to avoid simultaneous use of other medicinal products containing ethanol.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Ammonia-Anise Drops should be taken 3–4 times daily. The duration of treatment is determined by the physician, depending on the therapeutic response, tolerability of the medicinal product, and the nature of combination therapy.
Ammonia-Anise Drops should be prescribed as part of combination therapy with Thermopsis preparations, Althaea, and other expectorants, as well as, if necessary, with antibiotics and other anti-inflammatory agents.
