| Contraindications. Individual hypersensitivity to the drug. Peptic ulcer of stomach and duodenum in the stage of exacerbation, ulcers and erosions of mucous membranes of small and large intestine, intestinal obstruction. Age under 1 year. |
| Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. When the drug is used simultaneously with acetylsalicylic acid, platelet disaggregation is enhanced. In complex therapy with nicotinic acid and simvastatin, Maxisorb exhibits synergistic action – promotes reduction of atherogenic lipid fractions in blood and increases high-density lipoprotein cholesterol levels. Use of Maxisorb in intracorporeal sorption detoxification in combination with standard antiseptic solutions (bifuran, trifuran) increases treatment efficacy in purulent-inflammatory diseases. Inform your doctor about concomitant use of any other medicinal products. |
Special precautions.Ingestion of the dry powder orally is prohibited. Silicon dioxide should be taken 1 hour before meals or administration of other medicinal products due to the possibility of adsorption and, consequently, reduced efficacy. Administration and dosage. The drug is administered as an aqueous suspension taken orally 1 hour before meals or use of other medicinal products. When using a smaller dose, the drug from a jar (2 g) or sachet (1 g) is poured into a glass, then cooled boiled water is added at a rate of 20 ml per 1 g of the drug, and gently shaken. For children aged 1 to 7 years, the daily dose is 150–200 mg per 1 kg of body weight. The daily dose of the drug as a suspension should be divided into 3–4 doses. The daily dose of the drug for adults and children aged 7 years and older is 12 g. The daily dose of the drug as a suspension should be divided into 3 doses. The treatment course is 3–5 days and, if necessary, may be extended to 10–15 days. The treatment course for viral hepatitis at the above-mentioned doses is 7–10 days and depends on the severity of the disease. Children. Not recommended for children under 1 year of age. |
