I N S T R U C T I O N for medical use of the medicinal product FLAXSEED (LINISEMINA)

Composition:

Active substance: flaxseed (Linisemina);

1 pack contains: flaxseed (Linisemina) 100 g or 200 g;

1 sachet contains: flaxseed (Linisemina) 15 g.

Pharmaceutical form. Seeds.

Main physico-chemical properties: seeds are flattened, egg-shaped, pointed at one end and rounded at the other, asymmetrical; seed surface is smooth, glossy; color ranges from light yellow to dark brown.

Pharmaco-therapeutic group. Agents for the treatment of acid-related disorders.

Pharmacological properties.

Pharmacodynamics.

The biologically active substances of the drug exert a coating, anti-inflammatory, and mild laxative effect, covering the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract with a thin layer and preventing their irritation.

Clinical characteristics.

Indications.

As part of complex therapy for diseases of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract (enteritis, colitis, esophagitis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum), inflammatory skin conditions (furunculosis, abscesses).

Contraindications.

Hypersensitivity to the biologically active substances of the drug. Acute and chronic cholecystitis in the stage of exacerbation; intestinal obstruction.

Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions. Unknown.

Special precautions.

Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. May be used under a physician's guidance when the benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus/child.

Ability to affect reaction rate when driving or operating machinery. No effect.

Method of Administration and Dosage.

Pour 100 ml of boiling water over 1 teaspoon of seeds and shake for 15 minutes, then strain. Administer internally only freshly prepared warm preparation 3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals: for adults and children aged 14 years and older – ¼ cup; for children aged 12–14 years – 2 tablespoons; for children aged 7–12 years – 1 tablespoon; for children aged 3–7 years – 1 dessert spoon.

Externally, apply dry heated seeds in linen bags or freshly ground seeds poured with a small amount of boiling water as poultices for boils and abscesses to accelerate their maturation.

The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician for each patient.

Children. May be used in children aged 3 years and older under medical prescription.

Overdose. Diarrhea may occur with overdose.

Side effects.

Allergic reactions are possible; with prolonged use – diarrhea and pain syndrome. If adverse reactions occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a physician.

Shelf life. 3 years.

Do not use after the expiry date stated on the package.

Storage conditions. Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C, in a place inaccessible to children.

Packaging. 100 g or 200 g in cartons with an inner pouch; 15 g in sachets.
