How to correctly prepare the infusion?
Pour 200 ml of hot boiled water over 5 g (2 dessert spoons) of leaves, infuse in a water bath for 15 minutes, cool for 45 minutes, strain, and adjust the water volume to 200 ml.
What is the dosage of Nettle leaves for adults and children?
Adults and children aged 12 and older should take 1/4–1/2 cup 2–3 times a day, 30 minutes before meals. For children aged 7–12 years — 2 tablespoons; for children aged 5–7 years — 1 tablespoon.
Who should not take this preparation?
Contraindications include hypersensitivity to the components, increased blood clotting, arterial hypertension, as well as bleeding caused by tumors, polyps, or cysts of the uterus and its appendages. The preparation is prohibited during pregnancy.
Can the preparation be taken while breastfeeding?
In breastfeeding women, this remedy enhances lactation.
What are the possible side effects?
Possible allergic reactions (rash, itching, swelling, skin redness) may occur, as well as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.
What should be done if adverse reactions occur?

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE OF THE MEDICINAL PRODUCT NETTLE LEAVES

1 packet contains nettle leaves (Urticae folium) – 50.0 g.
Pharmaceutical form. Leaves.
Main physico-chemical properties: fragments of leaves of various shapes. Color is green, dark green, dark grayish-green, or brownish-green.
Pharmacotherapeutic group. Hemostatic agents of plant origin. ATC code B02B X.
Pharmacological properties.
Pharmacodynamics. The biologically active substances of the drug exert hemostatic, diuretic, general strengthening, anti-inflammatory, and vasoconstrictive effects; promote an increase in hemoglobin levels and erythrocyte count, normalize blood composition; reduce blood glucose levels; facilitate regeneration of the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract; normalize lipid metabolism.

Indications.
Pulmonary, intestinal, uterine, hemorrhoidal bleeding; anemias of various etiologies; gastrointestinal tract disorders (gastritis, colitis, peptic ulcer of the stomach and duodenum).
Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to biologically active substances of the drug. Increased blood coagulation; bleeding caused by cysts, polyps, tumors of the uterus and its appendages, arterial hypertension.
Special precautions.
Before use, it is recommended to shake the infusion.
If disease symptoms persist during the use of Nettle Leaf or if adverse reactions not listed in the instructions for medical use occur, a doctor should be consulted.

Usage Notes.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Nettle leaf is contraindicated during pregnancy. In women who are breastfeeding, it enhances lactation.
Ability to influence reaction rate when driving or operating machinery.

Method of Administration and Dosage.
Place 5 g (2 dessert spoons) of leaves into an enameled container, pour 200 mL (1 cup) of hot boiled water, cover with a lid, and steep in a boiling water bath for 15 minutes. Allow to cool at room temperature for 45 minutes, then strain and squeeze the residue into the strained infusion. Adjust the final volume of the infusion to 200 mL with boiled water.
Administer warm, 2–3 times daily, 30 minutes before meals:
- Adults and children aged 12 years and older: 1/4–1/2 cup
- Children aged 5–7 years: 1 tablespoon
- Children aged 7–12 years: 2 tablespoons
The duration of treatment is determined individually by a physician, taking into account the nature, severity, and specific course of the disease, as well as the stability of the achieved therapeutic effect and the patient's tolerance to the drug.
Children.
The efficacy and safety of the drug in children have not been established; therefore, Nettle leaves should be used only as prescribed and under medical supervision.
Overdose.

Side effects.
Allergic reactions are possible (including hyperemia, rash, itching, skin swelling). Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain. If side effects occur, discontinue use of the product and consult a doctor.

Store in the original packaging at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C.
The prepared infusion should be stored in a cool place for no more than 2 days.
