Klimaktoplan contains four ingredients that provide the effect of the preparation.

Cimicifuga acts on the hypothalamus, eliminating or reducing hot flashes, nervous excitement, and depression. Sepia regulates the combined functions of hormones of the adrenal cortex, genital organs, and pituitary gland. Sepia, like Ignatia, primarily affects psychological responses, but it also influences episodes of sweating, hot flashes, headache, and fatigue. Sanguinaria is particularly effective for hot flashes accompanied by transient facial flushing and tachycardia, as well as for migraine-type headaches.
