The drug is indicated for the treatment of adults with chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) with the Philadelphia chromosome (Ph+), as well as for patients with CML in accelerated phase or blast crisis, if previous imatinib treatment was ineffective or not tolerated. It is also used for the treatment of acute Ph-positive lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). In children, the drug is prescribed for Ph+ CML in chronic phase or Ph+ ALL.
