The drug is used to treat various fungal infections in adults, such as invasive aspergillosis, fusariosis, chromoblastomycosis, mycetoma, coccidioidomycosis, and oropharyngeal candidiasis. It is also prescribed for the prevention of invasive fungal infections in high-risk patients (e.g., after transplantation or during chemotherapy).
