The drug is used to relieve nasal mucosal edema, which helps restore breathing. It is prescribed for acute and allergic rhinitis, attacks of non-infectious vasomotor rhinitis, as well as to restore nasal breathing in diseases of the paranasal sinuses or Eustachian tube. It is also used to relieve edema before medical procedures in the nasal passages.
