The drug is used for medical termination of pregnancy in early stages (up to 49 days of amenorrhea) in combination with misoprostol, for cervical preparation before surgical termination of pregnancy in the first trimester, as well as for inducing labor in cases of intrauterine fetal death or to enhance the effect of other drugs during pregnancy termination in the second or third trimesters.
