The drug is indicated for the treatment of adults with elevated cholesterol levels (primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia). It is used as an adjunct to diet if the maximum dose of statins does not allow for reaching the target cholesterol level, or if the patient cannot take statins due to contraindications or intolerance.
