The drug is prescribed for the treatment of invasive candidiasis, cryptococcal meningitis, coccidioidomycosis, as well as mucosal candidiasis (oropharyngeal, esophageal, urinary tract) and chronic cutaneous candidiasis. It is also used to prevent recurrences of these infections in high-risk patients.
