    The drug is used for the treatment and prevention of diseases caused by herpes viruses (types 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5), chickenpox, shingles, influenza, and acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI). It is also used as part of the complex treatment of hepatitis B and C, HIV infection and AIDS, as well as human papillomavirus (HPV) infection.
