The drug is used to relieve airway obstruction in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Fortex is also prescribed for the treatment of bronchial asthma (specifically nocturnal attacks and exercise-induced symptoms) in patients who are already receiving inhaled corticosteroids.
