The drug is used to treat various fungal infections, such as vulvovaginal candidiasis, pityriasis versicolor, dermatomycoses (skin infections), onychomycoses (nail infections), histoplasmosis, aspergillosis, cryptococcosis, and other systemic mycoses. It is also prescribed for the prevention of fungal infections in patients with prolonged neutropenia.
