The drug is used to treat complicated intra-abdominal infections, complicated urinary tract infections (including pyelonephritis), and hospital-acquired pneumonia (including ventilator-associated pneumonia). It is also used to treat bacteremia and infections caused by Gram-negative bacteria when there are limitations regarding other therapy options.
