The drug is used for weight reduction as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. It is prescribed for adults with obesity (BMI ≥ 30 kg/m²) or overweight (BMI from 27 to 30 kg/m²) with comorbidities such as prediabetes, type 2 diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, or sleep apnea. The drug may also be used for weight management in children aged 12 years and older.
