    The preparation is used for chronic constipation, as well as as part of complex therapy for intestinal inflammation (enterocolitis, proctitis) and mild forms of thyroid diseases (diffuse toxic goiter). It also helps in the prevention of atherosclerosis and endemic goiter, and serves as an adjunct treatment for hyperthyroidism.
