    The ointment is used for the local treatment of skin lesions accompanied by itching and thickening (hyperkeratosis), but without wet discharge (exudation). Specifically, it is applied in seborrheic, atopic, and allergic contact dermatitis, psoriasis, systemic lupus erythematosus, erythema multiforme, and lichen planus, if these conditions are complicated by bacterial infection.
