The drug is indicated for adult patients with estrogen receptor (ER)-positive and HER2-negative locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer. It is used in combination with fulvestrant if certain genetic alterations (alterations in the PIK3CA, AKT1, or PTEN genes) are detected in the tumor after previous treatment has failed.
