Frequently asked questions

How should I take Condrosan?

The normal dose for adults and the elderly is 2 capsules per day (800 mg), preferably in a single dose, for at least 3 months. In some cases, the doctor may instruct to start with 3 capsules per day during the first 4 or 6 weeks. The capsules should be swallowed without chewing with sufficient liquid and can be taken before, during, or after meals.

When should I not take this medication?

Do not take it if you are allergic to chondroitin sulfate or any other component of the medication. It should also not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Its use is not recommended in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.

What precautions should I take with other medications?

You should inform your doctor if you are taking other drugs. If Condrosan is taken in doses much higher than recommended along with antiplatelet medications (such as acetylsalicylic acid, clopidogrel, among others), it could slightly increase the effect of the latter.

What are the side effects of Condrosan?

On rare occasions, it may cause nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort. In very uncommon cases, fluid retention (edema) or allergic reactions have been reported.

What should I do if I forget a dose or if I have stomach discomfort?

If you forget a dose, do not take a double dose to make up for the forgotten one. If you usually experience stomach discomfort when taking medications, it is advisable to take the capsules after meals.

What should I do if I have pre-existing conditions?

You should take special care and consult your doctor if you suffer from any serious heart, liver, or kidney disease.
