It is used to treat adults, children, and adolescents who do not have enough antibodies (such as in primary immunodeficiency syndrome or acquired immunodeficiency), to prevent measles in people at risk of exposure, and to treat certain autoimmune diseases such as primary immune thrombocytopenia, Guillain-Barré syndrome, Kawasaki disease, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, multifocal motor neuropathy, and severe myasthenia gravis crises.
