It is an antibiotic that eliminates the bacteria that cause infections and contains a component to help thin mucus. It is also used to treat digitalis toxicity and hypokalemic periodic paralysis.", "When should I not take Potasion capsules?": "Do not take it if you are allergic to potassium chloride, if you have high potassium levels in your blood, if you have difficulty passing food through the digestive system (such as intestinal obstruction), if you have stomach or intestinal ulcers, if you have gastrointestinal bleeding, renal failure, difficulty urinating, or Addison's disease.", "How should I take the capsules?": "You must follow your doctor's instructions exactly. They should be taken with food or immediately after eating. If you have difficulty swallowing the capsule whole, it can be crushed, chewed, or sprinkled over a spoonful of soft food.", "What is the usual dose of Potasion?": "For prevention, the dose is usually 2 to 3 capsules daily, divided into 2 or 3 doses.
