It is used to treat stable angina pectoris in adults with a heart rate greater than or equal to 70 beats per minute (in patients who do not tolerate beta-blockers or who use them in combination with this medication). It is also used to treat chronic heart failure in adults with a heart rate greater than or equal to 75 beats per minute, in combination with their usual treatment.
