It is used to treat adults, children, and adolescents who have insufficient antibody levels (such as in Primary or Secondary Immunodeficiency Syndrome) or to prevent measles in individuals who cannot be vaccinated. It is also used to treat certain autoimmune diseases such as primary immune thrombocytopenia, Guillain-Barré Syndrome, Kawasaki disease, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy, and multifocal motor neuropathy.
